Forbes has announced its list of America's 100 Cheapest Places to Live and Knoxville and Chattanooga were number one and two, respectively, for the east south central United States. Louisville-Jefferson, Ky.-Ind. followed in the number three spot. 

Rarity Communities has seven communities surrounding the Knoxville area and two communities near Chattanooga. They are Rarity Bay, Rarity Enclave, Rarity Pointe, Rarity Ridge, Rarity Meadows, Rarity Oaks and Rarity Mountain near Knoxville and Rarity Club and Rarity Rivers near Chattanooga.
